Online Banking: Getting Started

Getting Started – New Users

  1. Enroll Here as a new user
  2. You will be prompted to enter your name, account number, social security number, date of birth and zip code
  3. Create username
  4. The next screen will require a secure access code (SAC). To receive a code, select phone, SMS or email
  5. Create password (follow requirements listed)
  6. Update and look over your profile information then press to go to the next screen
  7. Look over and agree to the financial tools disclaimer
  8. Read and accept the login disclaimer
  9. You will then be directed to the home page of your new online banking experience

Getting Started – Existing Users

  1. Login here 
  2. The next screen will require a secure access code (SAC). To receive a code, select phone, SMS or email.
  3. Once you receive the SAC code, enter it in the box provided and press to continue
  4. Update and look over your profile information, then press to go to the next screen
  5. Look over and agree to the financial tools disclaimer
  6. Read and accept the login disclaimer
  7. You will automatically be directed to the home page of your new online banking!

Your Home Screen

Your homescreen features a snapshot of all of the accounts that you are listed on. You are able to view each of these accounts, maintenance them, make transfers and more!

Customize your Home Screen

  1. Click “Settings” on the left side menu
  2. Select “Account Preferences”
  3. All of your accounts will appear in list format
  4. Click on the account that you would like to edit
  5. You are able to “Nickname” the account to be able to easier identify it in your homescreen
  6. OR turn off the visibility of the account so that you do not see it on your homescreen
  7. Navigate back to the homescreen to see your changes

By adding and verifying an external account from another institution to your PFCU Account, you can transfer to and from that external account with ease. Just follow these steps to connect that account.

Getting Started

  1. Log in to your PFCU Online Banking and select 'Services' from the Menu
    • Not currently enrolled in PFCU Online Banking? Enroll Here
  2. Select 'Add External Account' 
  3. Enter your external account number, including any prefixes/suffixes, as required by external financial institution
  4. Select the Account Type from drop down
  5. Enter your external institution's routing number
  6. Select 'Continue'
    • This will initiate the micro-deposit process. If the above information was entered correctly and the account is legitimate and working, the external account will receive two deposits of less than a dollar. It typically takes 3-7 business days to receive the deposits.
  7. Once deposits have been received and recorded, return to your Online Banking Menu and select 'Transactions'
  8. Select 'Verify External Account'
  9. Select the external account that received the micro-deposits
  10. Enter the amounts received in the appropriate fields in the order they were deposited
  11. Select 'Continue'

If the amounts entered are matched with the amounts received, a “success” message will display and the processing is complete. The external account is now available for transactional use.​

Loan Payment from Share

  1. Log in to your PFCU Online Banking and select 'Loans' from the left Menu
    • Not currently enrolled in PFCU Online Banking? Enroll Here
  2. Select 'Loans/Credit Card Payments'
  3. Select the share you want the loan payment to come from 
  4. Select the loan you want the payment to go to 
  5. Select the payment type 
    • For a regular loan payment, select 'Regular Payment' 
  6. Ensure your Payment Amount is correct
    • The minimum monthly loan payment due will automatically fill here
  7. If you'd like to set-up and aumatic, recurring payment, select 'Make this a recurring transaction
    • If you select the 'make this recurring transaction' option, this loan amount will automatically be paid monthly on that same date until this is recurring transaction is canceled 
  8. Click 'Submit.' Review your information and select 'Confirm' to schedule transfer 

Loan Payment from External Financial Institution

  1. You have the ability to connect an account from another institution to your PFCU account and pay your loan using that external account. For information on adding an external account, visit here
  2. Please allow 3 - 5 business days to connect your external account
  3. Once your external account is connected, follow the instructions above to make a loan payment from your external share 

Other Online Methods of Payment:

Pay your PFCU loan using your preferred type of payment from other financial institutions:

  1. Credit cards*
  2. Debit cards*
  3. Checking**

There will be a fee of $10.00 assessed for making a payment with a credit card or debit card and a $5.00 fee for doing an electronic transfer from another institution. See above for other options to make payments free of charge.

Make a Payment Online

  • Call 844-517-3611 extension #1080 or call 866-285-2980 to access our automated loan line. Follow the guide to fulfill payment.

Tips for Other Methods of Payment

  • Have your account number ready:  this will be a 3 - 8 digit number with NO preceding zero's.
  • Have your loan ID number ready:  this will be a 1 - 4 digit number.  If your loan ID number is less than 4 digits - add zero's to the front of the number to make it a total of 4 digits.

Your Payment Confirmation

If you enter your email when making an online payment, you will have a confirmation emailed to you. You can print the confirmation page. If you are paying by phone, you will get a confirmation number. The confirmation number will also show up on your statement and history.

  • Visit any of our Shared Branching locations. You must have your your account and loan information to make your loan payment

Getting Started

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking and select “Services” on the left side menu
  2. Select “Alerts”
  3. Select “New Alert” at the top right of the screen
  4. Select the alert you would like to add, follow the prompts
  5. Existing alerts will show up on the main page of alerts screen

Types of Alerts

  • Date Alerts - Notification of special dates and times
  • Account Alerts - Notification of activity on a specific account
  • History Alerts - History of selected account
  • Online Transaction Alerts - Notification of specific online transactions occuring within your account online
  • Security Alerts - Various alerts to help keep your account secure

Note: If you had alerts set up prior to March 13, 2018 you will need to set them up as new alerts to continue the service.

Getting Started

  1. Log in to your Online Banking account as normal
  2. Click on “Bill Payment” on the left menu
  3. Read and accept disclosure then answer security questions

Adding Payees

Click “Add Payee” at the top of the screen and enter the company information for those you frequently pay or even just a one-time payment. (Payee information is only entered once at set-up)

Paying Your Bills

  • Once payees have been added, enter how much you want to pay that company in the “Amount” column. The “deliver on” column shows what day the payment will arrive to the payee and when it will be deducted from your account. You may also schedule a future date.
  • Select “Review Payments” by scrolling down the screen to look over and submit

Other Important Information

  • All payments using Bill Pay will attempt to be delivered electronically. If your payee cannot accept electronic payments, a check will be mailed to the payee. The Bill Pay system will tell you the approximate delivery date of your payment.
  • Users must have a PFCU checking account

Creating Accounts

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking and select “Services” on the left side menu
  2. Select “Open a Sub-Account”
  3. Choose the account that you want to open the sub-account, click “next”
  4. Select an Account Type from the second dropdown menu
  5. It will prompt you to answer questions regarding your new account
  6. Review the “Account Opening Disclosure” then click the box to accept terms and conditions. Click “next”

How to Sign Up for e*Statements

If you’re registered for PFCU's Online Banking

  • Log in to your Online Banking and select ‘Settings’ in the menu
  • Select ‘Statement Preferences’
  • Select the drop down next to the correct Member Number
  • View and verify your email is correct
  • Change the delivery preference to Electronic Statements
  • Accept the E-Statement Delivery Agreement
  • Click 'Submit'

Getting Started

  1. Visit your app store and search for PFCU4ME Mobile. Look for our free app and download
  2. Launch the app
  3. Input the same username and password that you use for Online Banking

Note: You must be signed up for and have used Online Banking on a computer to have the ability to access the app.

Link Accounts

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking, you will automatically be directed to the home screen where you will see your PFCU accounts
  2. Select “Link Account” at top right of the home screen
  3. Search for your financial institution in the search box
  4. Sign into your financial institutions online banking using your online banking credentials, select continue

Getting Started - New Users

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking and select 'Transactions' Tab on the left side menu
  2. Select "Send Money"
  3. Select your Settings for "Send Money" 
    1. Choose default accounts, set up alert options, etc.
    2. Only checking account(s) can be set up to use this service 
  4. Add Contact(s).
    1. To add a new contact you will be required to enter a passcode. To receive a code, select phone or email
    2. You will be required to set up a security question unique to each contact. They will be required to answer this question before receiving funds.
    3. Select "Save"
  5. To Send Money, Select "Pay"
    1. Select the Contact you wish to send money to 
    2. Enter the amount you wish to send 
    3. Select the account funds should be taken out of 
    4. Select date and frequency of payment
    5. Confirm the payment details 
    6. View a confirmation of the payment as scheduled

Getting Started - Existing Users

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking and select Transactions Tab on the left side menu
  2. Select "Send Money"
  3. Select "Pay" 
  4. Select the existing contact you wish to pay or click the "+" symbol to add a new contact 
    1. To add a new contact you will be required to enter a passcode. To receive a code, select phone or email
    2. You will be required to set up a security question unique to each contact. They will be required to answer this question before receiving funds.
    3. Select "Save"
  5. Enter the payment information 
    1. Enter the amount you wish to send 
    2. Select the account funds should be taken out of 
    3. Select date and frequency of payment
    4. Confirm the payment details 
    5. View a confirmation of the payment as scheduled

Receiving Funds

  1. Receiver of funds will be notified via text or email
  2. Click the link in the message to receive funds 
  3. Answer the security question set by the member correctly
  4. You will be prompted to choose delivery method of funds
    1. Funds can be delivered to Debit Card or ACH (Bank Account)
  5. A success message will appear verifying your information was accepted 

Getting Started

  1. Log in to PFCU Online Banking and select “Services” on the left side menu
  2. Select “text enrollment”
  3. Move the slider to “on”
  4. Enter your phone number in the “SMS Text Number” field
  5. Check the “Agree to Terms” box
  6. Note: message and data rates may apply
  7. You will be prompted to go to the account preferences to choose accounts to enroll in text banking
  8. Click on the account you would like to enroll and click the SMS/Text tab
  9. Slide the tab over to “On” and choose a display name

Shortcodes

  • XFER - Transfer funds from one account to another. Enter full amount using dollar, decimal and cents
  • HELP - PFCU website address and phone number
  • BAL - List of account balances
  • HIST - Account history
  • STOP - Disable text banking for the enrolled mobile device (to reactivate, login to online banking)
  • LIST - List of available commands
