Mid-Michigan, June 7, 2024 - PFCU Credit Union’s Cash for Classrooms Program has supported 26 teachers with a $150 donation for a total of $3,900 this year. During the months of January through May, teachers had the opportunity to enter or be nominated to win $150 to be used on any expenses or needs that they had for their classroom.
This is PFCU’s fourth year offering this program. The credit union’s goal is to recognize the dedication and hard work of teachers throughout the communities they serve. The credit union hopes that this small gesture can help make an impact in classrooms throughout their communities. A recent Cash for Classrooms winner shared, “I’m so excited to be able to purchase some much-needed supplies and amp up my literacy and math centers with new learning resources!”
To further honor teachers through this program, PFCU surprised five additional teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6th-10th, with a bonus Cash for Classrooms donation for their classroom expenses and a donation of school supplies to be shared by their school.
To be eligible to win, the applicant must be a current full-time, part-time or substitute teacher of Pre-K-12 at a public, private or charter school.
