Membership Qualifications

PFCU membership comes with access to all our valuable benefits that cater to your financial well-being. Your business or its management can join our credit union if you live, work, worship, attend school in or your business is located in Michigan. If a business owner is currently a member, or is eligible for membership, they can open their business account provided it is governed by Michigan Law.

Your business or its management are also eligible to become a PFCU member if one of your immediate family members can become a member based on where they live or work. Immediate family members include spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents and grandchildren.

PFCU membership is a lifetime membership, regardless of where you live or work in the future.

Required Documents to Open a Business Account

Opening a business account at PFCU? To become a member, all it takes is a $6 deposit to open a savings account ($1 is for the one-time membership fee) and you’re eligible for all of the cost-saving, convenient services PFCU offers to members in Michigan. Based on your business type, the following information will need to be provided for your business and for all account signers.

DBA/Sole Proprietorship

LLC

Partnership – General or Limited

Corporation

  • Articles of Incorporation
  • IRS Employee Identification Number (EIN) Issuance Letter
  • Signed Corporate Minutes/Resolution outlining in detail what accounts should be opened, who the Authorized Signers for the PFCU account will be and what their limitations are
  • Valid state issued identification, SSN and personal information for all signers

Association/Club/Organization

  • IRS Employee Identification Number (EIN) Issuance Letter
  • Signed Meeting Minutes outlining in detail what accounts should be opened, who the Authorized Signers for the PFCU account will be and what their limitations are
  • Valid state issued identification, SSN and personal information for all signers
